What do people do when they're jobless?

You know how kshen's been going everywhere (whereas I have been virtually stuck in KL eventhough I always wanna go everywhere) right?

Fine I thought. Why should I go everywhere else when I haven't even explored my own city yet?heeheee. So today, I dragged along two very innocent boys with me to explore KL. Lol.they are.......

Alex Wung Zen Lung

and...

Shaun Mak (i dont know your chinese name lol)

We started our 'journey' at about 10 a.m...Got into the car...and THEN alex tells me that there's a catch....we can only have RM50 each in our wallets and that we were taking the public transport.*keels over and dies*If you know these two people, you would know that they would be two of the last people you'd expect to take the public transport; especially in our beautiful country Malaysia. And HOW do we survive on RM50 weiii!Throughout the day we would forget that we had a limit to our spending and want to spend on certain 'luxurious' things*koffkoff alexwung* like the hyundai taxi and funny Japanese notes made of coconut(??) = thats what the lady in the museum said anyway-.-".

First off....the Bangsar LRT station. Destination: Muzium Negara.
The two guys pretending to be smart..truth was they had NEVER taken a bus into the city before...ahhahaha.there were four different bus routes and unlike other countries that usually have the places of interest tacked onto these information boards for the tourists' convenience, all the damn boards had were 'anda di sini' and 'perhentian depan rumah 153, jalan limau manis'

Naturally, we didnt know what stop the museum was.-,-we decided to take the one to sentral and walk from there.
inside the bus.

Walking to the museum is a simple enough task for KL-ites who know roughly that the museum is opposite sentral, but if we were really tourists then we would be GG-fied. there weren't enough signs pointing towards the museum and the station didnt have doors that opened right onto the road that led to it. We had to walk around the darned station AND THEN walk through the maze of roads (you know the ones where like dozens lead to the carpark and the international departure area and nowhere else?) to get to the pedestrian crossing..
funny..i had no idea that lake was tasek and not tasik lol.abit outdated ah our tourism board.and this is supposed to be visit malaysia year.tsk tsk.aaaaaaaaaaaaanyways.finally arrived at the museum...
Shaun and I - Alex is very anti-camwhore.

The museum was in a state of disarray. Apparently kerja pengubahsuaian was going on. I think they were changing the tiles or something. About time wei. The museum hasnt changed since the day I was born la I think. Finally SOME changes are happening.

...I was dissapointed. I said hello to all the mannequins again. I s.w.e.a.r. they are the sameeee okkkk.omg. you'd think they would at least change the clothes or something..or at least update the display stages, add some interactive information counters...but.NO.no have.takde.sameeee.*shakes head* to top it off, the top floor was closed to visitors so all we had was the ground floor. Nevertheless, we had tons of fun:)took pictures even though we weren't allowed to. heehee.it was so hilarious how we were rather apprehensive at first cuz of the 'no cameras allowed' rule but then we saw all the other tourists taking pictures, NAY, FILMING their 'enriching' experience in our national museum.
Me being the Indian wedding person lol.

Shaun kissing Tunku Abdul Rahman-.-

the efficiency of the Malaysian Tourism Board never ceases to amaze me. EVERY single leaflet box is like that.
making the deepavali thingy.i had to climb into the exhibit...

me and some statue:)

we got this from the museum shop; alex's greeeat idea that we should have some thing to identify us with=.=angelfish,turtle,seahorse.future guess watch models lol.

nexxt upp....KL tower....went back to the monorail station(a rather long walk if you ask me)

and waited for the train...this is how much alex hates camwhoring and how much shaun loves it.

AGAIN the KL tower is nowhere near any LRT or public transport station...In London madame tussaud's is a mere tube ride away from picadilly...ladidaaa get me?so we stopped at the Raja Chulan station and walked to KL tower..
as you can see the weather was pretty good for walking..though it looked abit gloomy..

im doing my signature wheee! pose but the other two are being boring..(cap if you were there you would have done the whee! pose with me rite..ritee??geez im gonna miss u laaa;'( )didnt take that many pics here.and we didnt go up becuz:
1.no money
2.cloudy so not good view

from there...took a cab to tugu negara...haha its so funny to realise that if not for amazing race last year i wouldnt have gone there ever...im sure you guys, like alex and shaun have not been there rite?
spent a few minutes there...not much to see la really.but its quite well kept; not so messy as the museum...very nicely designed actually..and the monument is so 'larger than life'..much better than seeing it on the cover of your sejarah text i must say...also very interesting to note that majority of the soldier's names that were written on the tugu were british..kinda makes u wonder dunnit? the place closes at 6.haha i think they scared some thief will steal the tugu and melt the bronze down or smth.

by this time the two guys are already damn tired and all....lol.but cmon...how can a visit to kl ever be complete without KLCC?so took a cab all the way to KLCC.....saw a sultan's car..did you guys know that sultans got no number plates?just a picture of the jata negeri ?well i didnt know.didnt do much here as well cuz we were all starting to feel abit sien with KL.still took the whee!picture:)
the whee! pose.shaun was nice enuf to teman me hehe.

then at lassstttttt..it was off to Pasar Seni via LRT.wah..memories memories.form 5 lol.KASTURI.mata kucing.ppl stealing cap's fon.sniff.

walked to cheecheongkai a.k.a petaling street a.k.a chinatown..bought dvds..and ate the famous wantan meee....

:)

i had a good day. i guess it was good that i did it..at least now i can tell the ppl that im gonna meet in UK (or wherever im going) abt the places of interest in my city...you guys should do it too.quite fun actually.u get to look at the places u see everyday in a different, tourist-y light:)

yuming: NAH THIS IS AN INTERESTING RANT!
