Off to buy dvds in Bangsar after dinner.. I saw a young Indian guy leaning against his car acting all bergaya cool, smoking & drinking chocolate milk.
Chocolate milk??
Quite the funny loh. In one hand he was holding a ciggie, in the other a carton of chocolate milk & he kept swtiching between the two. I dunno lah, i found it quite unusual to see a grown man drinking chocolate milk while smoking. Would have taken a pic but didnt want him to throw the milk at me.
Wait, got something to show u guys. I swear, i nearly died. Oh the disgrace of imitation movies...
Say oh my gosh x10 fast. Sounds familiar? Well, it should. Next will be on a bus or in a car or ferry. Lol!!
Next was this. -_-" Wth?? Cracked me up! Must be some kinda ham tai in pirate setting. I'll only buy if got Johnny Depp ler..
My mum: full time taxi driver, babysitter, cook, etc. You know wut they say bout mums having the most underpaid job =p So love ur moms!
Bro digging into some chee cheong fan & yong tau fu
Asam laksaaa~ Muahaha.. Bet im making u ppl hungry again.
Ok, swallow ur saliva as we enter the wet market section.
He actually smiled & posed with the chicken but i didnt get that shot in. Lol
It's amazing how unappetizing meat looks when it's raw. Not that anything comes between Mic & her beef of course ;)
So colourful & fresh!
This reminded me of the Mahjong Master movie & i couldnt help a chuckle. Tou fu man so fair!
We shall go back one of these days & have a flashback moment :) What say you, ppl? I miss high school!
Dinner at Little Vietnam after that..
Cap & Mic pouring over Kok Shen's magazine.
My appetizers platter. Looks the prettiest :D
Kok Shen's tomato soup noodles
Capri, the most adventurous, ordered Spagetthi Siu Mai which wasnt so bad actually.Check out those huge balls. Of siu mai of course =)
Had lots of fun with u guys. Luv ya all!
Anyway, ive been to a few nice restaurants lately & i'll just put up some pics here with short reviews. We can try out these restaurants for future gatherings & such.
I bet some of you have heard of it before.. Quite popular. And no wonder too. Food & ambience is great! Upstairs is more of the dining area whereas downstairs there's a live jazz band, a huge plasma screen for watching football & is more for chilling. But u can eat downstairs too.
I found this really cute. The fish was served in a hot plate shaped like a fish! So yeah, we should definately have dinner here sometime if you all like Thai food. There's even a great pineapple fried rice for ppl who kenot tahan spicy like Capri. But she's learning! *clap clap*
The weekend after that was, Brazilian food. Note the Brazilian flag in the picture? Haha..
I forgot wut this place is called. Lol. Cause it's some funny name. Really value for money cause it's buffet but the waiters will come to your place & serve you instead. Those who were at my 16th bday should know the style.
Jen & I camwhoring. Haha!
Then on that one day where it was a holiday for Taylors peeps, I baked again!
This one's called Spunky shortcake. LOL. En Li & Kok Shen sampled it & they said it's really good! =) I'll bake a batch for En Li as part of her present when she's celebrating.
Back to restaurants.. Tried another new place just last night actually. It's along Heritage road in KL. This one is a MUST visit & was my fav of the lot.
El Cerdo. The restaurant specialises in pork (sorry, Capri) but even Capri will love it! More on that later
Porkielicious Dishes! The logo of the restaurant: a pig's snout! Hahaha!
The place is so good that it was packed full when we arrived! And we thought we could escape the buka puasa rush by going to a non-halal restaurant. Looks like others might have had the same thing in mind. So we had to wait outside for awhile but boy, was it worth the wait. Plus the waiters were so polite & welcoming. They kept appologizing profusely for having to keep us waiting even thought it wasnt their fault whatsover.
Sammy & daddy outside El Cerdo.
Since the restaurant's speciality is pork, it's theme was pigs! Basically the whole place was decorated with pictures / photographs / statues / figurines of pigs! Cute, no?
I can see Capri smiling already hmm? :D The whole place is really really adorable like seriously.
The front cover of the menu.
Funny thing happened: One of the dishes on the menu was a Capri salad & when i pointed it out, my dad went, "Hey, then we can eat Capri!" The salad was served with some ham so i dont know what that means *looks around smiling* but he says lame random stuff like that all the time.
Besides the nice deco & cozy ambience, there was course, THE FOOD. Ever heard the phrase 'heaven on earth'? Well, that was just it.
Smoked ham & rock melon. Unusual appetizer, but the taste: Orgasmic
Cheesy macaroni & ham served in a lasagne dish
The restaurant owner, a really friendly German dude, came to see to the customers & make small talk. We were about to leave when he insisted we try his 'secret' desert which wasnt on the menu. And therefore, I had the BEST desert of my life last night. Should mark down the anniversary =D It's not everyday you discover the best desert you've ever tasted.
A mount of chocolate, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, vanilla ice cream, strawberry sorbet, & topped with a dash of liquor ;) I was so happy I thought i could die.
Life is sweet!
Love u all,
Sammy Y
